bringing france home

So, what do you do when you love French style but you cannot move to France? Maybe you could do what these house owners did: bring France home et voilà!

This beautiful French-inspired country home is in California. The owners had travelled to France on many occasions and simply decided to bring it home. Mainly everything in this house is custom-made, even the bed, which is designed like the one of Diane Keaton's character in the film Something's Gotta Give (2003). I love the exterior. I love the hallway with all that brightness. I love the family area with the wall of glass. There is just so much to love.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Regarding your question on my last post, unfortunately Embryolisse is not available in Belgium. I bought the cream in Paris...but you can find the list of Embryolisse sales points: http://www.worldwide.embryolisse.com/sales-points Hope it is helpful!

  10. Hayk is well aware that if we do not move to france permanently (although he's promised at least 6months...i'll take what i can get) France WILL be moving here...and it will throw up with such intensity all over our apartment/house that he'll decide we might as well just move to France for real and then I'll get what I've always wanted and I WIN I WIN I WIN.

umm....hmmm.....anyways. what I mean to say was, beautiful home, when can I move in? ;)

  17. It is lovely but just a little too sterile for my taste, a little lacking in the true French character.

    Have a happy week:)

  18. The house is beautiful and the interior decorating too, Lisa. I love that settee in front of the fireplace. What a beautiful house was that one in "Something's Gotta Give" too. I couldn't believe it was just a movie set, not a real house.
