damask inspiration

What is it that makes Damask wallpaper so enchanting? I was browsing the website of Thibaut for inspiration and now my mind has this idea of a hallway with either of these colours, a beautiful mirror, a console table, a gorgeous lamp and fresh pink flowers. I guess my taste is becoming more refined with age. wink

Did you enjoy a good weekend? Mine was just as I wanted it to be, relaxing with a trip to the library, sushi and white wine, and some baking. In fact, it feels like it's still weekend because the children have a spring break and hubby is at home with a sore throat, so there was no need to set the alarm clock.

I hope you are having a good start of the week!

  3. I always think of damask as very sophisticated and elegant but for me, it has to be done in soft, neutral colours. I really love the colour of the wallpaper in the 2nd photo - the styling is also incredibly beautiful!

  4. Wallpaper is simply not my thing, no matter how simple and elegant the pattern is. But that vase and peonies in the second image, oh my! Have a beautiful day, Lisa! xo

  6. I love it very much. If we had the right house, I'd definitely consider this style. For now, I am into plain walls and striped (am i HUGE fan of striped wherever they are)

  9. I'm loving the refined damask print in the second photo! And of course the peonies;) We should start a joint peony/lamp file haha.

  10. I really like damask as well. It has a traditional look but isn't stuffy if done in the right colors. Did you know that wallpaper has a crazy high markup?
It's a holiday in the US today so it still feels like the weekend here as well ;-)

  12. Damask wallpaper always makes me think of posh, bourgeoise townhouses in big metropolises like London or Paris. Lush and refined.

  13. Lisa, you always manage to find amazing decor images! I personally prefer 'neutral' walls, but I have to say that wallpapers can add a lot of personality to a room...

Thank you so much for the nice comment in today's post!
