royal couple

The Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark, Frederik and Mary, are interviewed in the latest German Vogue. They talk about the renovation of the Frederik VIII's Palace, also known as The Brockdorff's Palace, which was chosen as their home. In the photo shoot, Mary, pregnant with twins, is wearing a stunning Talbot Runhof gown (photography by Marc Hom). Below are the royal couple with Prince Christian (Princess Isabella has been cropped out of the enlarged image) and two of my favourite rooms, Mary's home office and The Flower Room.

  1. Godt nytt år Lisa!

Hope you and your family had a lovely holiday and it's good to be back :)

  2. This is a really sweet photo of the royal danish family! The gold tone of her dress is just gorgeous.

You were asking:*Wie geht`s?* (just perfect german!:))

    I say:Danke! Sehr gut! :)

Have a inspiring and fresh january-week, Beate XXX

  3. Good to have you back, Signe!

Beate, mir geth's auch gut ;-)

  4. My friend and I were just talking the other day about what it would be like to be part of a royal family. Our conclusion: gorgeous living quarters (as above!), beautiful clothes, lavish parties, great connections BUT less freedom and constant press-attention.

We'd prefer to be mere mortals....though I wouldn't mind having a similar home office :)

  5. Við Tinna heimsóttum þessa sali í Amalíuborg í fyrravor, þar voru margar fríkaðar veggskreytingar, en flottast voru þó lampar Ólafs Elíassonar í stiganum milli hæðana.

  6. Anonymous is my second name.

  7. Í myndaseríunni á vefsíðu þýska Vogue eru einmitt lamparnir hans Ólafs, svo fallegir. Mér fannst þeir frekar eiga heima í sér færslu með smá kynningu á honum. Kemur kannski síðar ;-)
