chanel summer
When I see that Chanel ad and makeup video I just want to put a flower in my hair and feel the sun on my face, but Antwerp is offering nothing but clouds these days. Well, yesterday we had a bit of sun and it felt so wonderful to sit out on the balcony and read. As some of you probably remember I've been reading a biography of Coco Chanel so the two Cs have been on my mind. I was looking at old Chanel ads and campaigns when I found this video, a short interview with Peter Philips, the creative director of Chanel makeup. Antwerp is his hometown and he talks a little bit about his background. He also gives a peak into Coco's apartment at 31 Rue Cambon, which has been kept exactly as it was on the day she passed away, 10th January 1971.
I hope you are enjoying a sunny Monday!

Gorgeous campaign photo and that movie only makes me want to paint my nails and experiment with eye-shadows;) Instead of enjoying the sun that doesn't show I'm burning my peony candle, listening to Ray Lamontagne, drinking tea and typing some long mails in a few minutes;)
ReplyDeleteI love this photo! I read the Secret of Chanel No. 5, which had a lot in it about Coco Chanel's life. I thought it was so interesting! I'll have to check out her biography that you're reading.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! The shade on her nail and lips are unbelivable :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the source - WHAT a blog!
Added it to my favorites :)
Hugs,
Signe
Gorgeous photo. I'm alawys eager to learn a little bit more about the stories behind fashion houses and their creative minds, which means I enjoyed the video. :) Thanks for sharing, Lisa! :)
