found it!

I told you that I'd not give up searching for the book on Scandinavian design, which I browsed through at the Icelandic Embassy in Brussels yesterday. I searched and searched and searched some more and opened more links on Google than I care to remember. I couldn't find that book anywhere and thought to myself: this can't be! Then I saw the light; it must have been a magazine and – voilà! – I found it right away. Not only did I find it, below you'll find the free online version. Yeah, I know, I'm like the postman, I always deliver.

The magazine is called Design from Scandinavia and this is the 40th anniversary edition (no. 22). The text is in English, German, French and Danish (to read it you simply have to use the toolbar that pops up to zoom in). The issue contains 82 pages of wonderful material. To name some, there's an article on Danish designer Finn Juhl (1912–1989), whose Chieftains Chair is in the photo above, and one about the architecture of the Icelandic Embassy Residence in Berlin-Grunewald, Germany, also shown above.

Enjoy the design and have a fabulous Friday!
