The photo of the dining room below is actually a before photo. The room was changed as it was thought to be too spacious but I like the before-look much better. I have mentioned it in an earlier post that I love using a desk instead of a bedside table as in the first bedroom photo below (also a before-look). I've been thinking about doing this in our bedroom but first I'll have to find the right desk. Look at all the stacks of books on the table – I love that! And I love the chair too.
Happy Thursday to all of you!

What a beautiful home! Although spacious it is so warm and it really feels intimate, I guess it has something to do with that security feeling you were mentioning. I love the idea of a desk instead of a bedside table in the bedroom. xo
ReplyDeleteLove the first image of the desk and the warm tones. Glad to hear your Christmas preparations are coming along nicely! xo
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that the space in the before image of the dining room was better but the space with the desk and painting is wonderfully done.
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying these images! I have a large desk-like bedside table and love it so much...filled with my favorite books and piles of magazines constantly. It brings me comfort daily!
ReplyDeletethat bedroom looks so relaxing- My office in an en suite from the master bedroom so I wouldn't have a desk in my bedroom but my bedside table has tons of books piled up as well.
ReplyDeleteYes, Lisa! I love these desks and your sugestions, especially the one of using it as bed table. I have a desk in my living and I like it SO much but lately I'm thinking to move it to my bedroom. Well, it is a bit different to this style but beautiful. It's 70's desk of acrylic material. I bought it on sale and I'm very happy!
ReplyDeleteOh it is lovely! And I love the idea of using a desk as a nightstand. Brilliant idea :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteLovely - as always ;o))
ReplyDeletewow. that carpet over those white floor boards is simply stunning.
ReplyDeleteDesk as a bedside table...I love using furniture pieces for other uses than its intended purpose. :)
ReplyDeleteOh that last bedroom is gorgeous; I love the idea of a desk for a bedside table! xx
ReplyDeleteLovely. I especially love the idea of the desk adjacent to the bed.
