Can you believe it's December already? I got up early this morning and made spice bread with my friend Emile Henry. I'm talking about a loaf pan, not a person! The home smelled of cinnamon, clove, ginger and nutmeg when I woke the children up. It felt very Christmassy and made up for the fact that I don't have a dining room like that.
Have a wonderful day!

i love the mis-matched chairs. no way to a rug under a dining table!
ReplyDeleteOh it does, it's beginning to look like Christmas. This is such a beautiful table setting, love the blue and turquoise shades. You made me laugh with your remark on your son, Lisa. :) Happy December! And thank you for the wishes. xo
ReplyDeleteperfect, simple but playful. but i have to agree with Monica. a WHITE rug under a dining table!?
ReplyDelete:)
I'm pretty sure that home has never seen any children ;-)
ReplyDeletePretty setting. Couldn't do with a rug under the dining table; it would not be pretty after a feast!
ReplyDeleteHello Lisa,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and cozy. Perfect.
But I would have to remove the carpet as well.
Yum! Wake up with the smell of clove, cinnamon, ginger ...to me it would be like wake up in paradise!
Have a nice day too.
Hugs
Mari
Hi there - what a lovely Christmas tree. I am mildly obsessed with the whole tree thing; we are now talking daily about when we will get it and how it will be! It never fails to amaze me how odd it is to bring a full grown tree inside your house but still...I love it. But what I like the most is the smell!! Counting down... Lou x
ReplyDeleteI bet your home smelled divine this morning! What wonderful holiday memories you're creating for your children : )

ReplyDeleteOh that would be a lovely space to have now wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to laugh about your Emile Henry reference. My new roasting pan just came in the mail yesterday :) xoxo
Oh yes please! I'd like a dining room just like that! Your spiced bread sounds delicious, from your description, I could practically smell the spices wafting out of my laptop! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, there is no way that home has children running around. That rug wouldn't last a day in my home. Thanks for the chuckle. I'm glad to know my children aren't the only ones who should be eating int he bathtub. It is a very beautiful room, though. I love the simplicity.
