it's beginning to...

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a dining room like this one in December? I'd love to have that wood-burning stove in mine and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree but I'm afraid that rug would suffer some serious food damage. Well, I could put a large garbage bag under my son's chair or simply ask him to eat in the bathtub!

Can you believe it's December already? I got up early this morning and made spice bread with my friend Emile Henry. I'm talking about a loaf pan, not a person! The home smelled of cinnamon, clove, ginger and nutmeg when I woke the children up. It felt very Christmassy and made up for the fact that I don't have a dining room like that.

Have a wonderful day!

  2. Oh it does, it's beginning to look like Christmas. This is such a beautiful table setting, love the blue and turquoise shades. You made me laugh with your remark on your son, Lisa. :) Happy December! And thank you for the wishes. xo

  5. Pretty setting. Couldn't do with a rug under the dining table; it would not be pretty after a feast!

  6. Hello Lisa,
    Beautiful and cozy. Perfect.
But I would have to remove the carpet as well.
Yum! Wake up with the smell of clove, cinnamon, ginger ...to me it would be like wake up in paradise!
    Have a nice day too.
    Hugs

  7. Hi there - what a lovely Christmas tree. I am mildly obsessed with the whole tree thing; we are now talking daily about when we will get it and how it will be! It never fails to amaze me how odd it is to bring a full grown tree inside your house but still...I love it. But what I like the most is the smell!! Counting down... Lou x

  18. Yeah, there is no way that home has children running around. That rug wouldn't last a day in my home. Thanks for the chuckle. I'm glad to know my children aren't the only ones who should be eating int he bathtub. It is a very beautiful room, though. I love the simplicity.
