rose christmas

Still trying as best as I can to hold on to the holiday spirit but the way I feel now I just want to postpone Christmas until New Year's. Yeah, even Boney M didn't work! I'm still in bed ... coughing like a moron. I want my sense of smell and taste back; I want my appetite back! Let's see if the combination of rose pink from Marie Claire idées and Coldplay is the miracle cure I'm looking for. I've heard them perform this song in concert so it always brings back good memories.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Pink, for me, is always synonymous with happiness and i love it for Christmas in combination with white.

  2. Aww, you poor thing! Come over here and eat some Knäck, that will make you better in no time!

Haha, and yes - I don´t plan my blogging so if there´s suddenly time to make a post even though I didn´t think so before, I just fire away! :-D

  5. Oh, honey, I hope you feel better soon! I had a flu last Christmas (it was just as ridiculous as funny to see me, all drugged up to reduce temperature, cooking Xmas dinner). Although it may be a touch too late, but still... Get some vitamin C, a good one, and take 1000mg every 3 hours. You can take up to 5000mg per day, but be aware that 5000mg may upset your tummy, so I'd build up carefully, say, starting with 3000mg per day. Plus TONS of plain water all the time. And in the evening, get Mr boil some milk for you, then add 1/2 tsp butter and 1 tsp raw honey (manuka +10 or +15 would be best here), mix well and get you drink it immediately, little by little, then get under duvet and go to sleep. It'll make you sweat like crazy, so have spare PJs to change in them. But it helps to deal with cold really well. Old Russian remedy. xxxx

  6. So sorry to hear you are still not well, Lisa. Here is one more remedy that always works for me: add coarse salt in hot water (as hot as you can bear) in a basin and keep your feet there for about 5 minutes until the water begins to get colder. Put on a pair of cotton socks and get under a blanket and go to sleep. It has the same effect as the one Little Rus is talking about, so keep in mind the spare PJs. One of these must work. You just have to get better to enjoy this week. xoxo

  7. Sorry to hear you haven't recovered yet. It's a real bummer to be sick around the holidays. Do take care and feel better. Don't eat or drink anything cold cause it will aggravate the cough. This is a Chinese belief that I swear by. Totally feeling the rose pink since I have a pink tinsel X-mas tree.
