Yesterday, as I was enjoying my latte before picking up the kids from school I was wondering what to post on Valentine's Day. This day wasn't a big thing in Iceland where I grew up so it has no particular meaning to me. Still, I wanted to post something special, but nothing with hearts or anything like that. Then the postman rang the bell.
He delivered a package from my close friend in Iceland, whom I'm travelling with to Paris in the autumn. It included a black box, which she had written on in silver: "Paris, here we come!" Inside I found this vintage-looking paperweight that put a big smile on my face. It's now sitting on my coffee table and I smile every time I look at it. It's the little things...
For the curious cats out there the paperweight is from Natasha Farina and the map in the background is from The Food of France. And if you are as obsessed with Paris as I am then let me remind you of my travel Paris board on Pinterest.
Yesterday I also received the items for the giveaway I'm preparing so stay tuned and have a wonderful Valentine's Day whether you're celebrating it or not!
