Some of you already know of my love for Sundays and today was the first one in our new home. I thought it best to leave the unpacking of boxes for another day and make the most of it. I enjoyed reading the latest issue of Vogue Paris, which focuses on films this month, as the Cannes Film Festival is just around the corner.
The section that appeals the most to me are interviews - and gorgeous b/w photography - with some amazing women in the industry: Charlotte Rampling, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Bérénice Bejo, Emmanuelle Seigner and more. If only my French were a little better! Well, I certainly am in the right country to fix that.
I also enjoyed smelling my new French soap with lavender and shea butter. I entered a shop yesterday and found myself in French soap heaven! I plan to return.
Today I also had a productive day in my new kitchen. I viewed many artichoke recipes and decided to make oven braised artichokes with garlic and fresh thyme, which I found on the Gourmande in the Kitchen blog. Our taste buds certainly did not complain. We had an early dinner and I made one of my favourite side dishes, baked potatoes with fresh thyme and rosemary. I promise to post it on kitchen & aroma soon.
Did you enjoy a good Sunday?

ReplyDeleteMmm! Your recipes sound delicious. Artichokes are in season now and I've been buying them every week. I like the way you prioritized some quiet time rather than diving in to the boxes in order to enjoy your Sunday.
