k&a: mixed seed bread with thyme and rosemary

Yesterday morning I started writing a blog post and all of a sudden the day turned into one of those busy days and it just flew by. Before I knew it I was making dinner, a late dinner to be precise, and I never found time to finish that post. But it was a good day because I accomplished a lot and in the morning I did manage to bake the bread I'm sharing with you today.

I told you once that I never bake with yeast. I'm not on a yeast-free diet and I have nothing against yeast, I just got bored using it (that would be another way of saying that I didn't have the patience waiting for the dough to rise). I like things that happen instantly so baking powder became my new best baking friend. I hadn't used yeast for almost three years when, fast forward to Luxembourg last week, hubby grabbed the wrong thing in the health food section and brought home a few packages of dry yeast. I took it as a challenge to experiment in the kitchen.

Today I posted one of the results on kitchen & aroma, my recipe for a mixed seed bread with thyme and rosemary. It's so good fresh from the oven and it's wonderful with soups, especially tomato soup.

  8. Yummy! I'm sure it's delicious toasted, grilled, or simply warmed with butter. Rosemary adds so much flavor.
