brighter shade than pale 01
Another series on the blog? Maybe not as I have published 'colour posts' quite regularly in the past. However, for a few months, yes months, I have been thinking about a name for them. Using the name of the colour in the title is very limiting because you can only say red mood or pink Tuesday every so often. I have played with all kinds of names in my head but I have always ended up without one. Then I just stopped thinking about it until this name-thing started bugging me again. On Friday while making the pizza dough my head was obviously thinking about names. Most of them had the word colour in them but none sounded right so I turned to A for help. Let's just say the discussions over the Friday pizza became quite colourful and then A announced that he had it; he had found the name: brighter shade than pale.
As soon as he said it I knew where the inspiration came from. Do any of you remember a band called Procol Harum and their song A Whiter Shade of Pale? During our first years together we played that song in the car constantly. A had it on cassette (remember those?!!). Lately we have been listening to it quite a lot because A was looking for something on YouTube when he found this live performance of the song by Procol Harum and the Danish National Concert Orchestra. It's a beautiful performance and shows that the lead singer still has his voice.
So now you know the story of the name. I won't be posting these on any particular days, just when I'm in the mood for a play of colours.
I hope you're having a wonderful Monday!
