Space: old floorboards

The floorboards of this narrow landing in a UK home make my heart beat faster. I find this space homey and charming, and also a bit autumnal, if one can use that word to describe a space. It makes me want to put on warm socks, and grab a book and a cup of tea. The rest of the house is just as charming, especially the kitchen, which I have pinned here and here.

Have a lovely day!

  1. What I like the most about this room is that it feels like it has a history, it feels lived in. And it certainly invites you to comfy dressing, with a good book and a cup of tea close by.

  2. Those floorboards look just like the ones in our kitchen, whilst very charming they are difficult to keep clean as bits of food etc keep falling into the cracks!
