This exotic and warm living room belongs to a residence on the Punta Cana seaside, on the east side of the Dominican Republic. It's a Juan Montoya design and it's not the first Punta Cana space I have featured on the blog (remember Oscar de la Renta's?). What drew me to this one was the I-have-died-and-gone-to-heaven sea view and the mix of soft yellow and neutral coloured textiles. It's a mix that has been growing on me in the last few years. When I'm searching online for rugs and cushions for my home I seem to end up with a lot of bookmarks of soft yellows. Blues too. Back to this space, the low table is from India and the three figures on top are pre-Columbian. There are six sets of these French doors that open to the terrace.

Summer bliss!
ReplyDeleteThat room and THAT view - excuse me, where is the teleporting button??? So dreamy. With the current 30+ degrees here I'd wish a sea breeze would freshen up my senses!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa ! It's really a beautiful living room, and it makes me happy that it's one from my country. You have a follower from Dominican Republic :) so you're welcome any time you want to come and enjoy our precious island. I'll be glad to meet you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting, Laura. I would love to visit DR one day.
